Hello, welcome to my first blog, I am going to be writing about all the different fashion trends over the last couple of years. I am no great fashionista but I am a shopaholic and love buying new clothes! I mean who doesn't... I will be giving my own personal opinions and ratings on different trends and I hope that you find my blogs interesting and maybe get some inspiration for yourself.
Leopard Print
Leopard print has made an unstoppable comeback and I am here for it. It is literally featured on everything at the moment such as skirts, jeans, jackets, shoes, handbags and even nails. Personally, I love this trend as there's something about the print that adds boldness and confidence.
What I love most about leopard print is that it can be dressed up or down, on a casual day I might wear leopard print jeans with a jumper, but for a night out, I would wear a leopard print skirt. To be honest I used to be a hater of the pattern but I really hope it stays in fashion because I think it is really nice.
Leopard print would get a solid 9/10 from me
Burgundy
I feel that burgundy is the must-have autumn fashion colour this year. It is a rich, deep colour and I am a big fan of it. Normally I would never choose red or purple coloured clothes as I don't think I suit them, I would usually go for lighter colours such as light blue or white. However, I purchased a red/burgundy jacket from Boohoo and I like it more than I expected I would.
Burgundy can be paired with lots of different colours and I find it easy to style my jacket it in different ways with a pair of black or grey leggings, and also having the option to dress it up by wearing t over a dress or a skirt and tights since it is becoming very cold. I think I need to invest in a couple of other burgundy clothing items, although I don't think that this burgundy trend will not stay for very long.
I would rate burgundy a 7/10
Slick Backs
Although slick backs aren't a fashion trend as such, I couldn't not mention them. I love love love slick backs, they are literally a life saver. It took me a while to get into this trend as I thought I just looked bald lol, but now I actually hate wearing my hair down because it is just always in the way. Slick backs keep my hair out of my face and I don't have to worry about my hair going frizzy.
There are so many different ways you can slick back your hair, ponytail, bun, half-up, the list goes on. It is sleek and it makes a bold statement with minimal effort.
Slick Back hairstyles are 10/10 rating from me
